Somebody has to tell us what in the gay hell is going on in the world that some VERY delusional people actually think this is a topic for debate.

so “Lesbian” would be matching with the definition of male heterosexuality? defined as: “romantically and sexually oriented towards women and away from men”?
I agree, in any media where lesbians are present they are always portrayed as either having attractions to men or a heterosexual history, such that lesbian only holds to the first part of the definition and not the second (esp in porn portrayals).
In fact, Ive seen some scientists who’ve claimed that monosexuality is non-existent in women and bisexuality non-existent in men.
I would say otherwise, but anecdotes are the poorest form of evidence.
But Ive also seen biphobia being expressed in lesbian culture particularity in this system of “star rankings”, with any woman who ranks “bronze” or less heckled with derogatory labels like “breeder”.
Maybe there’s a middleway?

Who are these women who call themselves ‘lesbians’ when they are bisexual or, indeed, straight but having a little adventure on the side? (excluding Hollywood portrayals, ‘lesbian’ porn and confused teens/college kids). I understand your point Sandi, but I haven’t come across women who call themselves ‘lesbian’ when they are concurrently seeing men or women, or are attracted to both sexes. In fact, I find the quite the opposite…. women saying they are bisexual when they are lesbians.
Well putting that aside, I TOTALLY agree with what you say about celebrities and Melissa Etheridge. LOL @ Julianne Moore.

I blame the last 15 years or so of lesbianism constantly being portrayed as bisexuality in movies/tv, the “fluidity” cabal, and political correctness from real lesbians. The “well I don’t consider her a lesbian but who am I to say she isn’t one” replies. Call the phony, lying bitch on her shit! Lesbians do not desire males!! If you do you’re not lesbian you’re somewhere else on the kinsey scale and there is a name for you, it’s bisexual.
Did you ever see that clip of Moore speaking in a *nudge nudge wink wink* tone that she thought “lesbians were fluid”? Honestly, if I could have reached through my comp screen I would have choked the bitch! The fact that there are women out there who only desire other women seems to bother quite a few people. Why I don’t know I guess it comes down to good ole misogyny.

This is a really great show, Must admit that this is one of the best radio shows I’ve ever heard. I love how you just tell it like it is. It’s really inspiring and gives me strength. Thanks for posting this show. I don’t care to see this movie either. I don’t care how “amazing” the writing is. Knowing she cheats on her wife with her sperm donor is gross!
