Really nice weekend in New York, actually spring has been gorgeous here. We passed by the tail end of the Dyke March last night (those biyotches are NOT playin’ okaaay?) and the end of the Gay Pride Parade today. We didn’t see not one cock so we’re calling it a smashing success!!! We did suffer a waxed man-ass or two but whadda-ya-gonna-do at least they had the consideration to wax. We did notice more femmes so that’s a good thing. 

We’ll take these marches and parades over the St. Patrick’s parade any day of the week. People aren’t just drunk there, they’re HAMMERED, blind drunk grosssssss, fighting, puking and pissing and just such messes and the media pretends it’s family friendly and TRADITION (which is why lgbt aren’t allowed to march in it). They’re white so people pretend for them. When the right wing and media talk about the Gay parade they film the 5 maniacs in tutus driving a dick shaped station wagon (who are, by the way, being IRONIC ya humorless hate-pigs) and at the Puerto Rican day parade they show women getting attacked but when they cover the St. Patrick’s parade they show COPS and the MAYOR and all of the OFFICIALS.

We’ve noticed right wing shills openly mocking Pride more than usual this year. Go ahead and mock us. It’s not like that is new or original. Who has time to give a crap what morons like them think anyway? People are OUT sooooo many of us are out. THAT is changing shit and THAT will continue to win. They’re sooooo juvenile; we’re embarrassed FOR them. CHILDREN get in trouble for behaving like them ALLLLLLLLL the time, parents would be ashamed if their children behaved that way. Then they want to talk about fiscal responsibility because they’re the adults in the room ahahaha! The red state voters are NOT fiscally responsible they’re POOR and toothless OR they have jobs but the standard of living is so low it’s EASY to be BALLIN’ in Mississippi. Places like Mississippi have tons of welfare cases. They have the highest percentage of people below the poverty line. Most of the states with the highest percentage of poor people are red. New York State sends so much tax money to help support those broke conservative states! We WANT their wet dreams to come true because we’re New Yorkers and we’ll be FINE, they need US not the other way around. And the data is out there.

Last year when marriage passed we were at Columbus Circle, we had just been to the opera and headed there for something can’t remember why but we read it on Twitter. They were tweeting the votes live from the legislature and when it passed a bunch of us, just people, none of us knew each other or knew that we were all gay started cheering and hugging the people we were with. We weren’t the only ones waiting for the news. Like 7 other people in a group were watching on their phones. And then other people started yelling it and tons of straight people were cheering. It was so cool and surreal. You get used to being the only gay people places or not expecting people to care but it was a really beautiful moment. We all teared up and some gay guys came over to hug us and they were tearing up too. It was one of our favorite moments living and being natives here in New York. We get emotional when we’re reminded why NYC is our home and why we love it so much.

We have our issues with the march and the parade but it’s always good to go and take the temperature, no matter how commercialized and watered down it is, it still does serve its purpose, there are a LOT of us mother fuckers out there! We’re not going away, we’re gonna get married and work and live and love and raise our kids and do it all OUT and have way more fun and be way more stylish so SUCK IT. No one is HIDING because conservative DICKS wanna send us all back into the closet. They’re just pissed because they’re BOOORING and no fun and would feel uncomfortable in an environment where people are letting loose and NOT pretending to be someone they aren’t. Shit changes FAST especially once New York leads and it will KEEP changing (we’re looking at you next California with fingers crossed), those reactionary conservative fuckers ARE LOSING. That’s why it was sooooo infuriating that New York took so long BUT New York did it the right way. We didn’t have a “radical” judge do it. We made sure the LEGISLATORS put their asses on the line. New York leads the way on everything. Now that we passed marriage, THOSE FUCKERS WILL LOSE! This isn’t California bullshit where our rights get forced onto the ballot by a bunch of religious kooks. New York leads and the rest of the country will follow suit one way or another. There’s still work to do but they ALREADY LOST, the game just hasn’t been called yet.
