CUNT As Comedy
Ok so, Maher defends Limbaugh and tons of a-holes come out of the woodworks to defend him for defending Limbaugh! ahhaha!!
First off we agree with the free speech issue, we do not believe Limbaugh should be censored and he wasn’t. That said, Americans shouldn’t have debased filth smeared in our faces on our airwaves, there SHOULD be free market backlash.
Maher is focusing on some freedom and liberty and equality issue like words and free speech. He mentions the intent, almost as an after thought, ‘like oh we can all agree the intent was despicable but it was a lame joke’. Umm really? It was all in “good fun” but it was just an off the cuff remark that fell flat? ARE YOU SERIOUS? The INTENT IS the problem! It wasn’t a joke. Limbaugh is NOT a comedian. He didn’t try out an off color set in some comedy sewer somewhere, he’s a POLITICAL FORCE that reaches and influences MILLIONS of Americans, mainly parents and grandparents, rightly so plenty of bitches including us got our panties in a twist over it because NO ONE EVER gives a shit about abusing women. He ATTACKED that young woman like a rabid animal and WOULDN’T STOP. She’s a private citizen who that fat junkie fuck decided to make the poster girl for all WHORES. Fox and Limbaugh types must LOVE Maher’s comedy! We thought differently but it seems pretty obvious that he too doesn’t WANT to be liked by real women with a shred of integrity because HE clearly does not like us. We probably could enjoy his stuff but it comes at too high of a personal cost. We’ve never followed him but if we NEVER heard a word he said, his bs excuse about how the English use the word cunt in every sentence PROVES he is being full of shit. This is America, you live here, you KNOW what CUNT means in the states. The English do use it for both sexes and we personally do also (TLM does) because WE are doing it DELIBERATELY to reclaim words that defile us, make no mistake, it is a VERY conscious and deliberate effort that we constantly struggle with. Being the “citizen of the world” (which is the bullshit he’s trying to pass off with that statement) that Maher is, he knows all this and knows he’s being full of shit.
As for comedy being a BASTION of free speech, yeah we get it Maher, you’re Carlin and Lenny Bruce all rolled into one, being the badass renegade citizen of the world that you are because you call women Cunts. We remember how dude comedians loved n-word too and all the white male gorillas in their audiences laffed also. It’s way EASIER to exercise free speech for a comic, you have a GIANT fucking cannon, not a little rifle, sorry if we’re not impressed by the word warrior image you’re trying to portray, you’re NOT the only funny person in the world. We also know how much easier it is to speak you’re mind and have people swallow it if you can make them laugh and we aren’t professionals with writers like Maher, after 15-20 years in the biz you BETTER be funny. We love comedy that IS edgy but sorry, the SOLE purpose of dudes calling white women cunts and defiling women is to keep us in our place. Hurling loaded slurs at women that have tons of history and present day violence attached to them for shock effect when you clearly don’t have the remotest clue about what is going on in the world you live in is not edgy. These comics wouldn’t DARE say racist slurs in the same context but they’ll say cunt and defile women because they can get away with it. Sorry but that is the antithesis of EDGY it’s weak.
We disagree pretty vehemently with some people that we love, we think some of the shit they do is horrible but we still like them as people, we try to change their minds sometimes but you don’t have to agree with someone 100% to like them. People could point out he’s being a pig and if done right, we’re SURE he’d agree, what he should have said is there is no malice intended in his piggery, if he said what he meant and people pointed out what a pig he is being, maybe he would see there IS malice in being a pig.
